      Celeb News Roundup….

Posted by Micki B on 09.03.2008 at 1:06 pm

Usher is planning a 15-date tour, where only women will be allowed entry hence the title of his tour, One Night Stand Tour. Usher is confident that this One Night Stand Tour will be a hit, because surely most of the material performed will be from his latest album, Here I Stand.

“This album, I felt like, was definitely the type of one that was more intimate. So what better way to get up close and personal than to make it all women? The ladies like to see that masculine build. They question if I still got it.”

And you damn right Usher, I wanna know if you still got it.

      Morning Scoop…..

Posted by Micki B on 09.02.2008 at 9:06 am

      Let me give you the rundown, this is going to be pretty short and really sweet, so let’s go;

Diddy has will be heading to Canada to headline Canada’s CTV’s eTalk Festival Party, which will be held at the network’s Queen Street headquarters on Friday, September 5. This performance will be an open-air live performance before thousands of fan.

And I would have never thought the Dave Chappelle converted to Islam in 1998, (not that it is anything wrong with his conversion) well he did and just recently he performed at the Muslim American Society’s 1st Annual Islamic Summerfest in Ohio. I wonder what kind of jokes he told. Just a thought!

While Dave Chappelle was telling jokes before a Muslim audience, Usher has his eye on the prize. He wants to perform at the Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa Bay. Usher recently performed Thursday (August 28) at an NFL game that kicked off the season. So I am sure he may have a chance. Let’s hope!

Finally, ole Bobby Brown will be taking that stroll down the isle once again. And I do mean getting married not to see the judge. He will be marrying Alicia Etheredge who is also his manager.

Usher’s Mother Is Back On The Team

Posted by Micki B on 08.07.2008 at 8:30 am

It is official Usher has re-hired his mother, Jonetta Patton after firing her over a year ago. She is back on board to kickstart the success of his latest album, “Here I Stand”. In the first week the album sales were 433,000 which was significantly less than “Confessions” which sold 1.1 million.

Usher and his mother issued a statement say, “Usher has dissolved his management arrangement with Benny Medina and has re-engaged Jonetta as his manager.”

Usher’s decision to get rid of Jonetta last year was reportedly due to tension between Jonetta and Usher’s wife Tameka Foster. However, executives at Usher’s label, Jive Records, were said to be concerned about Jonetta’s sacking.

Usher made the best decision by re-hiring his mother, maybe album sales will pick up for him.

Usher Will Perform At Democratic Convention

Posted by Micki B on 07.14.2008 at 1:08 am

Okay, I think this is the first time I have ever heard of this or maybe now I am more interested in the details of the whole political circus. But anyway, Usher is set to perform at the Democratic Convention next month to boost Barack Obama’s presidential campaign.

Medina tells the New York Daily News, “There’ve been offers to do things in and around the convention and we are just looking to see which one will be the most productive. He is obviously a huge Barack supporter.”
