Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon attended the Time’s Most Influential People Gala at Lincoln Center in New York City.  Carey and Cannon have confirmed their recent marriage with People magazine and are also set to cover the May 19th edition cover of People magazine.  In People, the new couple have shared photos from the wedding ceremony which took place in the Bahamas.

Also, Mariah Carey had to re-schedule her appearance in Dubai due to, “extremely compresses time frame along with unforeseen logistical complications.”  Source

OMG, Could this be true?  I just heard that they were engaged now, they are married.  That happened fast.

Sources have confirmed with Latina.com that Nick Cannon, 27 and Mariah Carey, 38 are married.  Supposedly the pair were married Wednesday, April 30, at her home that she recently purchased in Eleuthera, The Bahamas. The wedding was not planned, it was described as “very impulsive” according to the source.  You gotta know that Da Brat was in attendance.

“They have been smitten with each other for days, weeks… and she’s always had a crush on him.” the source tells the “New York Post.  “There was no pre-nup there wasn’t time, ” dishes another source”  Source

Also, Selita Ebanks, (Nick Cannon’s Ex) tells People that the rumored engagement ring that Carey had been wearing was not the same as the one originally given to her when she and Cannon were engaged.

The internet has been buzzing about Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon secretly dating.  Now, the word is they could be engaged? What’s really going on?

Recently, Nick Cannon was put on the spot during a MTV News chat and was asked if the rumored engagement between he and Mariah Carey was true, and of course he refused to confirm or deny reports he’d asked her to marry him.

“Chuckling  nervously, Cannon said, “rumors happen, they do.  She’s great person…She’ probably the most festive, remarkable person I’ve ever met.” Source

It really did not help when, Mariah Carey was spotted at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York this weekend with a huge diamond ring on her wedding finger.  Carey’s representatives refuse to comment on the new wedding rumors.

Looks like those two will be getting on the “free publicity” ride for a while.
