      Chris Brown To Design New Era Cap Line

      New Era Cap, a headwear and apparel company has brought Chris Brown on board to design a line for branded caps that is set to hit the stores as soon as August 14 at Lids, New Era stores and newera.com.

      The line will be six unique designs by Chris Brown which will include an image of a boombox and another design featuring the initials, “CBE” for Chris Brown’s Entertainment, “Brown’s record label on Interscope.

      Details of Brown’s New Era deal will pay him a royalty based on the number of hats sold.

      The caps will sell for $35 to $40 each.

      Janet Jackson Plans To Launch Lingerie Line

      Janet Jackson revealed her plans to launch her own lingerie line at the Versace menswear show on Saturday, June 21 during Milan Fashion Week in Italy. There were no real details about her lingerie project.

      Hope the lingerie is reasonable made available to everyday consumers. I will keep you posted.

      Jackson plans to launch lingerie line before the end of the year.

      Damon Dash and Rachel Roy Expands Fashion Brand

      Damon Dash and his wife, Rachel Roy have joined forces in their business endeavors. Dash and Roy have announced a joint venture with Jones Apparel, Inc. to expand Rachel Roy Collection fashion brand.

      Rachel Roy Collection initially hit the market in 2005 and has seemingly done well. The collection is only available in high end department stores such as Nordstrom, Saks, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman. Also can be found overseas in the United Kingdom, the Middle East, South Korea and Indonesia.

      The joint venture will prove profitable for Jones Apparel, Inc. and Roy and Dash. Jones Apparel, Inc. will retain 50% interest in the venture and Dash and Roy will retain the remaining 50% interest. Rachel Roy will has retain creative control of her and continue overseeing the design, manufacturing and production of the line. This joint venture is estimated to be worth $4 billion between the companies.

      Unfortunately the remaining details of this venture has not been disclosed .

      Queen Latifah Gets Signature Fragrance

      Queen Larifah has jumped on the bandwagon of many celebrities who have gone into the beauty business.

      Parlux Fragrances, Inc. announced June 2, the signing of a global licensing agreement to launch the first fragrance from Queen Latifah. The fragrance will make it’s debut Fall 2009 in the United States, with an international roll-out shortly thereafter.

      According to Queen Latifah,
