R. Kelly Takes A Break From Performing After Throat Surgery
After experiencing sever throat pains, R. Kelly underwent emergency throat surgery to drain an abcess from one of his tonsils.
R. Kelly will not hit the stage of the Reggae Sumfest in Jamaica. He was the headline act set to perform Friday (July 22) .
R. Kelly recently completed the U.S. leg of his Love Letter worldwide tour.
Allan Mayer, the publicist for R&B singer reveals he is uncertain when R. Kelly will return to the stage.
For now R. Kelly has been released from Northwestern Memorial Hospital and recovering at his Chicago area home.

Jul192011Ja Rule Sentenced To 28 Months For Tax Evasion
Failure to pay taxes, criminal gun charges and jail time is a sad reality for rapper, Ja Rule. As his wife watched, the judge sentenced him to 28 months in federal prison for failing to pay over $3 million in taxes between 2004 and 2006 when he was a resident of Saddle River, New Jersey.
Ja Rule appeared in a New Jersey Federal court Monday (July 18) where his sentence was handed down. The judge also ruled his sentence for the tax evasion and the gun charge could be served concurrent.
Last month, Ja Rule turned himself in for a two-year prison sentence in New York after pleading guility in December to attempted criminal possession of a weapon after police found a loaded semiautomatic firearm hidden in his Maybach back in 2007.
Ja Rule is extremely remorsefully for his action. “If there was anything that I regret, I regret that they have to go through this with me, and I’m not going to be there for them,” Ja Rule stated in a recent interview.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are ending their marriage. I did not see this coming.
According to TMZ, the couple have filed for a divorce after 6 years of marriage. In a statement, Lopez and Anthony states, “We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters.”
The couple were married in 2004 and they have a set of twins, Max and Emme.
