R. Kelly Takes A Break From Performing After Throat Surgery

After experiencing sever throat pains, R. Kelly underwent emergency throat surgery to drain an abcess from one of his tonsils.

R. Kelly will not hit the stage of the Reggae Sumfest in Jamaica. He was the headline act set to perform Friday (July 22) .

R. Kelly recently completed the U.S. leg of his Love Letter worldwide tour.

Allan Mayer, the publicist for R&B singer reveals he is uncertain when R. Kelly will return to the stage.

For now R. Kelly has been released from Northwestern Memorial Hospital and recovering at his Chicago area home.
