Remember West coast rapper Tone Loc? Well he’s back the news again and not for his music.
Anthony Smith aka ‘Tone Loc’ was arrested Saturday, June 18 for domestic violence. He and the mother of his child had an argument that turned into a physical altercation.
The local police arrived on the scene of an appartment complex and arrested Tone Loc at 2:45 pm in Burbank, California. He was booked and later released on $50,000 bond.
Tone Loc became known as the rapper with the deep raspy voice who knew how to get the party started with his 1980′s hits, “Funky Colde Medina” and “Wild Thing”.

New music video, “Ballin” from Young Jeezy featuring Lil Wayne which is the single off of Young Jeezy’s upcoming album, TM103. There were cameos from Lil Tunechi and Freddie Gibbs. Directed by Collin Tiley.

Beyonce will release a new perfume, Pulse in the Fall 2011. It’s the third fragrance to add to her Heat and Heat Rush collections.
Coty Beauty Company describes the scent as “pear blossom, peony, midnight blooming jasmine, Madagascar vanilla and bluebird orchid.” The concept of the fragrance bottle was inspired by Beyonce’s stage costumes. The fragrance comes in an “upside-down-chrome-and-blue bottle with a chrome cap.”
“I love the idea of a signature scent that lets a woman leave her mark wherever she goes, so I always try to make my scents appropriate for any occassion.”
Beyonce’s Pulse will be available in September 2011 in fine department stores across the world.

Rapper Drake received the prestigious Hal David Starlight Award at the 42nd Songwriter’s Hall of Fame Awards on Thursday, June 16 in New York City. This is a history making moment for the rapper, as he is the first rapper to receive this honor.
He thanked Alicia Keys for allowing him the opportunity to write and ad vocals to her song, “Un-Thinkable” (I’m ready). Drake dedicated his award to his mother, Sandi Graham whom he adores and acknowledges quite often in public appearances.
Drake tweeted to his followers, “Just won the most incredible award and performed for my mother…a year ago today she was being wheeled into a surgery room…I love you”
Hal David Starlight Award honor the substantial accomplishments of young songwriters.
