Rapper 50 Cent has once again becomes a victim of credit card fraud.
The NY Daily News reports, there have been at least 5 attempts to us the rapper’s credit card fraudulently since 2007. Local authorities suspect this crime could be in connection to burglary of 50’s Farmington, CT home, which may have given the perpetrators access to his personal information.
The latest incident took place late last year in West Hartford, CT. A man called attempting to ordered two Sony flat screen televisions, valued at $1,000.00 each through a local electronics store .
Red flags were raised when the manager learned the caller was calling from out of state and asked that the televisions be delivered to an address in Hartford. The manager contacted American Express who later confirmed the credit card number was misappropriated.
Ultimately two men were arrested after the manager of the store told the young men to come pick up the televisions.
The local authorities believe there are more individuals involved in this elaborate scam.
