Pearl Future’s “Lookin At Me” ft. Nicki Minaj (Animated Music Video)
Canadian artist, Pearl Future, who hails from Toronto was joined by Young Money rapper, Nicki Minaj in animated video, “Lookin At Me”. Not that we should be shocked with this cute video.
Toronto’s own animation duo Kevin Raymond and music video animator Curtis Blade joined forces to create animated video for the hot chicks.
Pearl Future is a rising star whose done collaborations with Yung Joc and The Game. She’s set to release an album later this year (2010).

Atlanta’s Princess Ciara was recently spotted at an event, where she took the stage performing “Go Hard In The Paint” freestyle. She was taking care of business.
Ciara left all the fluff behind, which I was glad to see. Sometimes you just want to see the artist perform, actually see their talent shine through.
To be perfectly honest, I really thought Ciara kind of lost “it”, but this footage of her performance grabbed my attention.
Besides freestyling these days, she is working on her upcoming video, “Gimme That”. Check her out on the set.

It is that time of year again, the 5th Annual BET Hip Hop Awards 2010, hosted by actor\comedian Mike Epps. This awards show will take place at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center in Atlanta on Saturday, October 2.
BET Hip Hop Awards 2010 will premium on BET network, Tuesday, October 12 at 8:00 pm.
This could pan out to be a big night for Jay Z, he has 10 nods across all eight categories; the highest number of nominations in the show’s history.
Young Money’s Drake gets 8 nods and Nicki Minaj ties with Rick Ross for 7 nods. It’s looking good for Young Money.

Sep112010Floyd Mayweather Jr. Accused of Assaulting Baby Mama
Boxer, Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s baby mama, Josie Harris, claims that he physically assaulted her and threaten to “take care of” her and her new boyfriend, according to TMZ.
Mayweather entered Harris home on two separate occassions searching her home, verbally attacking her which quickly boiled over into a physical assault.
TMZ reports:
She claims Gloyd then began “dragging me ont the floor and twisting my arm back… in attempt to try and break it.”According to the documents, Josie claims Floyd “continued to beat me in front of the couple’s three children.”
Josie’s claim that Floyd threated the children – saying if they “ran or tried to call the police he would beat them the same way.”
Mayweather’s people have not confirmed or denied these allegations, so we will keep you posted.

Jada and Will Smith’s son, Jaden Smith has launched a successful career as an actor, now their daughter Willow Smith on the fast track to being the tween star. She’s Jay Z’s latest artist to sign to Roc Nation; Willow’s just 9 years old.
Jay Z and Willow Smith made an appearance on “On-Air Live With Ryan Seacrest” to confirm and announce little Willow has signed to Jay’s label. He’s very impressed with his new pint size star.
“She walked in and the first thing she said was, ‘I’m really nervous,’ and I thought, ‘That’s maturity to explain exactly how she was feeling when she walked right into the room.’ I knew right then she was a star,” Jay said. “I believe in superstars. I believe in big records and superstars, and I think she has both.” [MTV]
The same day this interview took place, Willow’s new song, “Whip My Hair” was leaked online, and a star was been born. The song is very fun and very kid friendly.

Trick Daddy’s autobiography Magic City: Trials of a Native Son in stores Nov. 16, 2010
Maurice Young aka Trick Daddy was born and raised in the Liberty City area of Miami being one of anywhere between 19 and 27 children. He was the son of a pimp, who was left to survive poverty and the crime in the gritty streets of Miami.
The autobiography also touches on his incarceration, his rise to fame and the fight for his life. Trick revealed a while ago that he is battling the autoimmune disease, Lupus which could be fatal.
Magic City: Trials of a Native Son a real tale of the life of hood star, the good, the bad and the ugly.

Which leads me to this, Trick Daddy also fired and dismissed staff at his Dunk Ryder Record label. Apparently, there were bad business practices taking place within the label, and Trick Daddy was totally in the dark about.
He is also preparing to release a new album,” www.thug.com2”, currently there is not a release date set for this project.
Sep42010Mariah Carey’s Christmas Album Due In November
Mariah Carey is set to deliver a holiday project just in time for Christmas. “Merry Christmas II You”, will include original material and covers of Christmas classics.
This album is the follow up to her wildly successful 1994 multi-platinum album, “All I Want for Christmas Is You”. “Merry Christmas II You” will be released November 2 along with a DVD, however, there are not any details available about the actual footage on the DVD.
According to Rap-Up.com, Mariah’s manager, Chris Lighty revealed on Twitter, the upcoming project will be promoted on the HSN (Home Shopping Network).
