Ex NBA Player Lorenzen Wright Found Dead
Lorenzen Wright, 34 was found dead in wooded area outside of Memphis, after being missing for 10 days. It is being reported that his body was riddled with multiple gunshot wounds.
Wright’s family revealed he was suppose to catch a flight out of Memphis on July 18. After a couple days had passed, and his family had not seen him since July 18, a missing person report was filed on July 22.
Also, during the time Wright was missing, the local police were investigating a 911 hangup call from Wright’s cell phone made on July 19. The 911 operator describes hearing at least 10 gunshots in the background while losing the connection to the phone call.
Before Wright’s he had been experiencing financial hardships; his home was foreclosed on in May 2010. The circumstances surrounding Wright’s death are still very fragmented, however this is still an ongoing investigation.
The family issued a statement through a cousin of Lorenzen Wright, Camella Logan: “Lorenzen’s family has come together to mourn his loss and honor his legacy. We appreciate your thoughts, prayers and condolences as they are comforting at this very difficult time. Additionally, we ask that you please respect our privacy as we try to cope with his sudden loss”.
Lorenzen Wright leaves behind six children, friends and a loving family.

Michelle Williams and Letoya Luckett were spotted in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Celebrity Poker Tournament Kick Off Party Hosted by Shawn Marion and Michelle Williams at the Tao inside the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino.
Letoya has a lot to be smiling about these days, rumor has it that she may be leaving Capitol Records. Supposedly, the label is having some financial issues and are allowing artist to get out of their contracts without any resistance. [UNCONFIRMED RUMOR]
She began recording her next album, which will feature producers, Sauce and contributions from songwriter Andre Merritt. The release date and album title is unknown at this point.
Also, Letoya Luckett has landed a new gig, as the new face of Luster Smooth Touch. The launch and official unveiling will be July 28th in New York City.

Jul242010The Dream Files For Divorce While C Milli Was Pregnant
C Milli and The Dream’s world wind romance ended fast. Faster than any of us may have ever known.
There relationship ended prior to the birth of the couple’s daughter, Violet. To be mor specific, word is The Dream filed for a divorce 9 days before Violet was born.
Sounds like The Dream was more of a nightmare. smh
In her legal response, filed last week in Georgia, Milian claims the marriage wasn’t really kaput when he filed the divorce docs — and subsequently had “marital relations on numerous occasions.”
But Milian also claims that if the court does grant the divorce — it shouldn’t be based on The-Dream’s claim that the marriage is “irretrievably broken” — but rather because the The-Dream was cheating on her.
But it gets worse …
In the docs, Milian admits that she signed a settlement agreement with The-Dream in which both parties waved any alimony or ownership right’s to the other person’s property.
But Milian claims she only signed the docs because The-Dream brought them to her bedside when she was 9-months pregnant … when she was in no condition to sign such important papers.
I smell a sh*tty divorce in the works.

Ebony pop icon, Janet Jackson rocks her new short hair do in her new gig as the face of luxury mink retailer Blackglama advertising campaign, “What Becomes a Legend Most?”
The campaign will launch in September 2010 and will be featured in the international copies of Vanity Fair, Elle and Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
Ms Jackson is a busy woman these days, currently she is filming her starring role in Colored Girls Only.

Jul152010Lil Wayne Expected Release Date + Drake’s Back In The Booth
Word is Lil Wayne may be released from prison sooner than we all may have thought. According MTV.com, he expected to be release November 4, after serving about eight months of his 12 month sentence.
Of course this projected date is pending no infractions or bad behavior.
It almost seems as if Lil Wayne has not gone to prison. Jeesh, he’s releasing an album in September and could be possibly back in the free world in November.
Time flies…
While rapper Drake is still riding the high of the success of his album, Thank Me Later, he announced via Twitter (July 14) that he is working on his follow up album.
He did not reveal any specifics, so my Drake fans be on the look out for some new material from your boy.

Ne-Yo’s released new video for his single, “Beautiful Monster” off of his upcoming album, Libra Scale which is set to be released September 21.
At the beginning of this video, it started off like a mysterious movie, which caught my attention. I love the fight scenes and the dance scenes.
I would dare to say this video reminds me of a music video by a legendary artist from back in the day with a modern twist.

Cincinatti Bengals Wide receiver and reality show star, Chad Ochocino has been shaking things up lately. He has new reality show, Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch and the ladies are willing to do anything to get a piece.
Yeah all this should be exciting and fun, Ochocinco but lately he’s been the subject rumors suggesting that he does not like black women.
In his first blog on Globalgrind.com, Ochocinco revealed in his colorful post feelings about the rumors as well as defends his right to choose.
Imagine if I bought a bag of skittles and only ate the green ones. That would be a waste of a bag of skittles. I’m gonna eat ‘em all. Romance doesn’t fit in a box, and neither does my Johnson. Ok, all kidding aside, my new reality show is about having fun, meeting women and hopefully finding that ultimate catch, whatever race, creed or color she might be.
As a kid growing up, I developed a strong sense of self-worth from the incredible women in my life, all of whom were black. I am the man who I am today because of black women, and I am forever grateful for the values and strength they instilled in me. With all that being said, I was surprised by all of hate that I got from the decisions that were made on the first episode of my reality show Sunday night. The next day, when I went on twitter and saw a lot people talking about how I didn’t pick enough black women or how they weren’t cute or I picked them all at the end…it made my stomach turn. Look….if my mama and my grandmama, the two women who raised me, ain’t got a problem with the women I choose in life, no matter what race they are, then it shouldn’t be a problem to anyone. Bottom line is that I love black women. I got four beautiful children and their mother is black.
Why does he have to justify the number of black women on his show? Oh my goodness.
America let the man live.
I’m so over this. *sigh*
