Gucci Mane Released From Fulton County Jail

Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane was released from Atlanta’s Fulton County Jail, 12:30 am today (May 12) after serving 6 months of a one-year prison sentence for parole violation.

He was greeted by rapper Shawty Lo, fans and the press. Gucci delivered a prepared statement to the press and his fans.

“I have made some mistakes in my life that have hurt a lot of people who care about me. I have worked very hard to get past them, but those mistakes have brought me to where I am today, and they will not be repeated,” he said. “These past six months have been a difficult time, but fortunately I have learned a great deal from my experience. I was able to do a great deal of soul searching; I am coming out with a new attitude towards life.”

Gucci Mane confirmed there has been some major changes in his label and support staff. He has left So Icey Entertainment, Mizay Entertainment managment company and Hitt Afta Hitt Enterprises booking company.

Gucci has launched 1017 Brick Squad record label which will be affiliated with Asylum/Warner Bros. Records; and he will be working with a new management and booking team.

The rapper also announced a nationwide tour which will kick off in July, followed by a new album.

Guess he is not wasting anytime.
