Apr122010Monica’s Summer Tour, Porsche and Singles
Monica has announced a Summer tour with sexy singer, Trey Songz. So far no dates have been announced however, the tour is slated to kick off in August (2010).
The tour is in promotion of Monica’s latest album, Still Standing.
Also be looking out for her next single, “Here I Am” featuring Jamie Foxx, who was not featured on the album version, so it sounds like a remix is on the way. Hopefully this single will experience as much success if not more than, “Everything To Me”.
Maybe she will get another one of these bad boys…..
Atlanta producer Polow Da Don gave Monica a Porsche Panamera to congratulate her on her success of Still Standing.

British singer, Joss Stone is featured in a new ad campaign for Peta promoting vegetarism. The 5′ 10″ beauty has been a life long vegetarian and believes in this healthy lifestyle.
Also later this year, Stone will be featured in yet another Peta Ad. She is passionate about the protection of the Canadian black bears.
“The plight of wild bears hunted for their skins and for fun is a subject very close to her heart.”
In this ad, Stone will be laying on a Union Jack in the nude.
All for the love of animals…..I don’t think I could take it off for no animal, not even my dog.

The new post-Hurricane Katrina drama, “Treme” airs tonight on HBO. This television series was created by David Simon (creator of “The Wire”) and Eric Overmyer to chronicle the lives of the New Orleans residents who struggle to put their lives back together after Hurricane Katrina.
“Treme” pronounced (treh-MAY) will open with the storyline three months after this horrific storm, focusing on families from various walks of life particularly the musicians embedded in the rich culture of New Orleans.
Strangely enough, the pilot airing tonight was not filmed in New Orleans. Not really authentic huh.

Did you see some familiar faces? Some of the characters include Wendall Pierce (Antoine Baptiste), John Goodman (Creighton Bernette) and Khandi Alexander (LaDonna Baptiste-Williams).
I don’t think this series will be gritty but not true to the realities of the people of New Orleans. It could shine enough light on this city to make the world remember how there is life after tragedy and the people of New Orleans survived.
And on a sad note, David Simon, died last month (Mar 31) on the set “Treme”. Hopefully this series will be as successful as “The Wire”.

Our little bad girl, Rihanna revealed during an interview with Ryan Seacrest, that L.A. Dodger baseball player, Matt Kemp is her boyfriend.
“ummm he is my boyfriend….it’s new and it’s fun. It’s nothing too serious. I don’t want anything that’s going to take up so much of my energy and time right now in a bad way. I just want to have fun, and that’s what it’s about.”

Siblings, Brandy and Ray J lands on the cover of the latest edition of Jet. Of course this is in promotion of their new realty series “A Family Business” which will premiere Sunday, April 11 @ 9/8c.
Believe it or not, Ray J was the mastermind behind the new reality show. “I created the show because I wanted to bring the family back together as one, not only personally but as a business as well.”
The show will focus on their journey back into the industry, while maintaining strong family bonds in Hollyweird.

Apr9201050 Cent’s Assistant Ordered To Pay Ex-Girlfriend After Assault
50 Cent’s assistant Dwayne McKenzie has been ordered by Waterbury Superior Court judge to pay his former girlfriend $30,000.
Shana Chin, 24 sued McKenzie after he allegedly assaulted and choked her while the two attended a Memorial Day party at 50 Cent’s Farmington, Connecticut mansion in 2008. Supposedly, Chin found out McKenzie was cheating on her and she confronted him about it which led up to the assault.
McKenzie is no stranger to jail. He has had several run ins with Connecticut police including shooting at a man for attempting to snatch his chain outside of a Hartford club (2007), pistol whipping a promoter (Oct 2007) and a confrontation with a woman after she refused to perform oral sex (2009).

The wait is over, Paula Patton gave birth to her son, Julian Fuego, yesterday (Apr 6) in Los Angeles.
Alicia Keys first made the announcment Tuesday (Apr 6) at the L.A. Staples Center during her Freedom tour, where Thicke was noticeably absent from the stage.
Sexy singer, Robin Thicke, 32 and his wife Paula Patton have been married for 5 years and Baby Julian is their first child.
