Matthew Knowles alleged mistress, Alesandra Wright gave birth to a baby boy named, Nixon last week. She claims to had an affair with Knowles lasting about 18 months and resulting in her pregnancy.

Wright wants a paternity test and according to Blogxilla.com, she may already have a court date.
For Wright’s sake I hope this does not turn into a Maury Povich moment after publicly claiming Papa Knowles is the father.
Rapper Drake is launching his “Home Away From Home” tour with many dates, but unfortunately there no stops in Texas. I hope they add more dates.

Lil Wayne’s freedom has just been extended. Today (Feb.9) appeared in court, where the judge postponed his prison sentence so that Lil Wayne could receive dental surgery.
Wayne has been sentenced to one year in prison after he plead guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon while in New York in 2007.
He will officially begin his prison sentence March 2.
Meanwhile, Lil Wayne took to Ustream to say his goodbyes and thank his fans. Even Fat Joe came through.
Lil Wayne seemed to be in good spirits for a man facing a year prison sentence. Truth is what else can he do but do the time. Rumor has it, Wayne may do about eight months with good behavior.

Ashley Forrestier featuring Alverez The MostCold first gave us the “Who Dat” (We Going To The Superbowl) and now since the Saints have won the Superbowl XLIV, it is only in good timing we get the victory song, “Who Dat” (Superbowl).
Download the “Who Dat”(Superbowl) Victory song here.
The ringtone is totally free, so make sure you get it.
The Saints did what the people of Louisiana knew they could do, take the Super Bowl.
Admittedly the first quarter had me worried, but out of nowhere these guys turned it around and made this a sweet victory.
This is the first Superbowl win for the New Orleans Saints.
Congratulations!

This year the Superbowl commercials were hilarious and some were simply filling a space. Here are a couple of highlights from tonight (Feb. 7).
Jay Z intro to the CBS Superbowl show was his “Posthumous Zone” version of his hit single “Run This Town”.
And Beyonce had a small spot in Vizio’s million dollar commercial.
Auto-tune King, T-Pain had a spot in a commercial which seem to spotlight the autotune. I really did not get this commercial.

Songstress, Jill Scott has been slapped with a lawsuit from her former record label, Hidden Beach after she suddenly part ways with the company.
Hidden Beach Records filed this lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court on February 3. In court documents, there are claims Scott was obligated to a six album contract, however she has only successfully delivered three album.
“Hidden Beach is shocked by her decision not only because Scott has apparently chosen to leave the Hidden Beach family,” the complaint reads, “but also because Scott is contractually required to deliver three more albums to Hidden Beach.” [Billboard]
Potentially, Scott could owe Hidden Beach Records millions of dollars in damages.
Hidden Beach Records founder, Steve McKeever, greatly contributed to Jill Scott’s success in her career and reveals he is shocked by Scott leaving and does regret that the lawsuit had to be filed.
The label is seeking an unspecified amount in damages in connection to the breach of contract.
Since this news broke last week, a statement was issued to Billboard:
A representative for Jill Scott e-mailed this statement to Billboard. “The lawsuit filed on February 3, 2010 by Hidden Beach Recordings against Jill Scott has no legal merit and misrepresents the history of Ms. Scott’s relationship with the label. Jill Scott has the legal right to terminate her recording contract with Hidden Beach Recordings under California’s 7-year rule, where she had been a recording artist for more than 10 years. During her time at Hidden Beach Recordings, she released several highly successful albums. At this time, with many creative projects in the works which include music, film and television roles and product development, Ms. Scott looks forward to continuing to further her artistry and building the Jill Scott brand in other creative environments.”

New music video, “Independent Chick” from Houston’s own Candi Redd featuring Rasheeda and Candi (of Real Housewives of Atlanta). This video was directed by Mr. Boomtown and included cameos from Young Problemz, Bun B, Jus Brittany and I thought I saw Nnette (Radio Personality) from 97.9 the Box.
All I can say the ladies put it down for the Independent Mamis.
