Houston rapper, Joseph “Z Ro” McVey will be headed to court March 1 to face a felony drug possession charge from last year (2009). At the time of his arrest, he allegedly was in possession of over 28 grams of codeine mixture.

According to AllHipHop, Z-Ro’s attorney, Robert Jones stands by his client and believes he is innocent. Jones insists the codiene cough syrup bottle was in fact a prescription that belong to another party.

And NBA ballplayer, Allen Iverson has taken an indefinite leave of absense due to his daughter, Messiah, 4 being seriously ill.

“At this time, we feel that it is in the best interest of the Sixers, Allen and his family that he be allowed to deal with a very serious issue that is far greater than the game of basketball,” Ed Stefanski, the team’s president and general manager, said in a statement. [Bloomberg]

The details of Iverson’s daughter illness is unknown.
