Russell Simmons Lands Stand Up Comedy Series On Comedy Central
Hip hop mogul Russell Simmons and Producer Stan Lathan join forces for six new half hour episodes of the comedy series.
This series is to be hosted by “Curb Your Enthusiam” star, JB Smoove which will feature up and coming comics in each episode. Also these episodes will be taped in Los Angeles on Wednesday and Thursday.
Simmons and Lathan were best known for their collaboration on the wildly successful 90′s HBO series, “Def Comedy Jam” which introduced many comedians including Martin Lawrence, Bernie Mac, Chris Tucker, Dave Chapelle and many others.
The series is set to air sometime in the summer of 2010.
