Rapper Clifford “T.I” Harris could be in the hot seat since being released from jail. A Los Angeles based rapper/producer, Nathan Filby aa Motoe Blizzid claims in court documents that T.I. stole portions of Filby’s song “Reverence”.
Apparently, those “stolen” portions were used in T.I.’s Grammy award winning song, “What You Know”.
Filby alleges the track had been distributed to a number of industry people including an undisclosed party who claim to represent Relentless Management, who also worked with T.I. at the time.
Nathan Filby is seeking damages and all profits earned from the song.
T.I. is currently serving the remainder of his sentence in an Atlanta halfway house.
