Meet Kendro aka Droskie. He’s an upcoming underground talent from the Houston area, packing some heat for the mic, that is.
Droskie’s been featured on projects such as Southern Smoke with DJ Smallz, Trae Tha Truth’s “Later Dayz” mixtape and Yung Redd’s latest album.
He’s an independent artist, with something to say and driven by his music.
How long have you been seriously in the rap game? About three years…. I’ve been f*cking with it since I was about 16 years old. But really did not get serious about it until about 3 years ago.
So what made you change your just playing around with lyrics to actually pursuing a music career? Well really feel really I was playing around with like a hobby at first. I really figured out this was something I loved. It was coming from the heart.
I feel really comfortable with it now…I really feel people will feel where I’m coming from.
Micki B “That’s what the game is missing , heart. Lots of rappers are in to sell records and will pretty much say anything to sell an album.”
Droskie “Yeah, I know but I’m not in it to sell albums. I believe everybody has something about them or a persona or something to offer. I’m not trying to be gimmick.

Do you write all of your lyrics? Sometimes, when I am listening to beats, the words come to me like that. I’m not saying I don’t write, but the majority of it I just be brainstorming.
What do your lyrics normally discuss, street life, life in general or things that you enjoy? Describe it to me.You know, to be real with you, a lot of it is life and what I’ve gone through.
Most of the time will anybody listening to your lyrics will get something out of it? People that know me, really know I be going through it. So yeah, most people can get a lot out of my lyrics because it comes from my life.
What other areas of your music are you involved in? I’m just rapping write now. I have not crossed over into other areas for now. I know I should but, for right now I’m rapping because I really want to focus on my craft. Perfect it.

Who influence you as artist? Kevin, Rakesh (Producer) and Trae Tha Truth. To be real with you, people inspire me. And yeah I listened to Phat Pat and everything else, but Trae was the first rapper to inspire me. I first met Trae back in ’99 when he dropped his first album. He inspired me to keep going and not give up.
Ultimately, what is your long term goal? Do you want that Grammy or that national recognition? No, I want people to hear me out. I feel like I have something to say and want to be heard. If I get there, I get there. Everybody wants money. Money is not my main priority. The money is going to come and everything else will fall in line.
Do you have any major projects in the works? I’m working on more material for mixtapes. I wanna try to put out as many mixtapes as possible. I have a lot of material that has been recorded, that I have yet to release.
Droskie’s management team, FlyCat Managment Group informed me, Droskie will drop another mixtape, Gone Off That Dro Vol. 1 in February 2010. So be looking out for that, but for the meanwhile, check out some snippets Droskie was featured on, and don’t forget you can get his latest mixtape, 250lbs of Dro just by clicking on the link below.

I have some sad news to report, actress Brittney Murphy, 32 of a cardiac arrest. She best known for her roles in Clueless, 8 Mile, Girl Interrupted, Across the Hall and many more.
Many sources state either Murphy’s mother or husband, Simon Monjack placed a call to 911 Sunday (Dec 20) morning after finding her unconscious in the shower in her West Hollywood home.
The actress was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Like some entertainers she has been rumored to have few issues which included a cocaine habit which was also linked to an alleged eating disorder back in 2005. Needless to say she denied ever having a drug problem. [Huffington Post]
The Atlanta native married her husband in Simon Monjack in 2007 and they had no children.

I’m not sure WTF is going on with these grown azz men messing with these children.

The lines have been drawn, and it looks like Que has landed on the other side. Reportedly, Quawnell “Que” Mosley took to Twitter announcing he received a letter from the R&B group Day 26 stating he will be departed from the group.
This news comes not longer after Day 26 left Bad Boy Records seeking a new label home.
According to HipHopWired, Que was the only member of the group who had difficulty getting along with all the group members. Even though the decision to kick Que out of group came as a shock to the fans, it was something major issues going on behind the scenes.
Will Taylor of Day 26 tweeted to the group’s defense, “The truth will soon come out about the reason for him being removed from the group and they fought for this not happen.”
Check out the audio footage, Que confirms his departure from Day 26.
I hope Que much success in solo venture.
