Word is Jay Z is planning on taking his wife, Beyonce Knowles maiden name in order continue the family legacy.
If Jay Z should actually go through with this, he will be known as Shawn Knowles-Carter, while Beyonce already carries that last name.
According to various media outlet, the move will ensure the Knowles name lives on, since Beyonce’s parents did not have any sons.
Beyonce and Jay Z doesn’t have any children, but Beyonce’s little sister Solange has a son, Daniel Juelz Smith Jr. from a previous marriage.
