Janet Jackson isn’t wasting anytime getting back on the stage and reviving her music career. Reportedly, she secretly signed a new contract last month (Oct 2009) with A&M Records.
Jackson first signed with A&M Records when she 16 years old.
Label exec Jimmy Lovine is really pushing to have a new Janet Jackson album to hit shelves in 2010, with the help of producer Rodney Jerkins.
“Jimmy has given the mandate to make this Janet record a success. He believes that he has the right team in place to finally take Janet back to the top of the music charts. It’s a top priority for the label,” a source revealed to New York Daily News.
But in the meanwhile die hard Janet Jackson fans will have to settle for her greatest hits album. Some sources say the album has already been released.
