Real Housewife of Atlanta reality star and fashion designer, Sheree Whitfield is known for her flair for style, her sharp tongue and don’t take no sh*t attitude. Recently she was here in Houston hosting a party and local newspaper, Houston Chronicle caught up with Sheree for an interview:
Q: Why can’t you all seem to get along?
A: To put women together in different situations who really aren’t friends, well, some things are going to happen. We’re not always going to get along or see eye to eye, but that’s life. If we were all getting along and having a great time every single episode, no one would watch.
Q: So are you friendly off the show?
A: We have a working relationship. So, pretty much, no. Most of us are very cordial.
Q: Tell me about your She by Shereé clothing line?
A: I did a presentation for spring 2010 during New York fashion week. It’s a full collection, with a strong emphasis on dresses. Classic but edgy pieces. It’s coming out early 2010.
Q: Did you study fashion?
A: No, it’s always been in me. I’ve always been very fashion forward. I had a clothing boutique in Atlanta and had the hopes of designing my own line. I closed the boutique, so now I’m just a designer.
Q: Do you like shoes or handbags?
A: I love YSL shoes and Louis Vuitton bags. Right now, I’m loving my Gucci python runway bag.
Q: How has your wardrobe changed since being on the show?
A: It hasn’t. I’ve always been very stylish. This is what I do. The other girls have upped theirs, though.
Q: They have?
A: You haven’t noticed? They had to get some stylists. I am my own stylist.

Q: Will you ever date on the show?
A: That is the No. 1 question I’m asked. I might date next season. I’ve gone on dates, but nothing special.
Q: How long were you married?
A: Too long.
Q: I hear you’re a fitness buff. How often do you work out?
A: I work out five days a week — at least I try. I’m also in the process of launching workout videos early next year.
Q: Housewives has been criticized for its portrayal of African-American women. Your thoughts?
A: We’re all human. No one is perfect. I’m not here to represent all African-American women. I’m here to represent Shereé, and I can only make myself proud as well as my family. Read more..
Sheree Whitfield is one of the housewives I had a love/hate relationship with. I love her for her attitude, confidence and style, but at times it was over the top. Like anything you have to take the good with the bad.
Totally loving this housewife!
