I spotted rapper LRB at the PowerSpoken Open Mic here in Houston a couple of weeks ago and I was totally impressed by his performance. “Let’s Ride” was the song he performed. I found his performance to be light and refreshing to my ears. Loved it.
Meet LRB…
Tell me a little about yourself.
L.R.B.- Loyal Royal Bishop/ The meaning of my name is simple if you take the time to look at it. Loyal of course means faithful to a person, ideal, custom, cause, or duty. Royal means superior, as in size or quality . The meaning for Bishop is a high-ranking cleric, in modern society usually in charge of a diocese and in some places regarded as having received the highest ordination in unbroken succession from the world, and a usually miter-shaped chess piece that can move diagonally across any number of unoccupied spaces. Wow, what a name right? It took me years to come up with a name that would stick. So there you have it, the name that will hit the ribs of the nation. It sounds weird, but my name will be in households all over the world. Trust me. I was born and raise in Houston, TX where I’ve seen and learned a lot in my life. I’m an accomplished hip-hop artist who has a keen knowledge of the music business. Being that Im trying to get into the business of music, my main goal is to produce the highest quality of music and break records in this industry. In my life Ive been through the rough end. I never seen myself as a thug, gangsta, or a player. I just see myself as I am. I’m a young man with ambitions to rise to the top. The only thing I’m addicted to is hip-hop music.
Who inspires you the most?
My Family. Both of my older brothers have influenced me and introducted me to hip-hop. My parents schooled me on music in general. And my little sister shares my passion for music so it helps a lot to have a family that has a strong cultural background.
Where do you draw your inspiration?
There is no better teacher than life. And you learn something new everyday. With life you have a open book that’s ready to be explored.
LRB is an independent artist passionate about his art and even more driven about his success. With that being said follow LRB on the above links and if you are interested in connecting with him email him at lrbthp@gmail.com.

Sean “Diddy” Combs lands on the cover of the November 2009 edition of Ebony magazine. He talks Dirty Money, business and mostly the day in the life of Diddy.
Diddy has been involved in music for years and helped such artists as Mary J. Blige break into the business. And some folks just don’t like him but I guess that’s the price you pay for success.

The 4th Annual BET Hip Hop Awards went down this weekend in Atlanta. There were noticable absent individuals as well as long awaited reunions.

Let’s start with T.I., for obvious reasons he was not in attendance of the ceremony but that did not stop him from winning the Best Collaboration with Rihanna for “Live Your Life” and Album of The Year” for his latest album, Paper Trails.
T.I.’s fiance Tameka “Tiny” Cottle accepted both awards on his behalf where she read an acceptance speech from Tip. “Although I’m not there with you all, I’m there in spirit…..My road to redemption is almost over….Thanks for the support.”

Cute and scary at the same time.

Usher has troubles going on in his life that only a man with baby mama drama would understand.
According to TMZ, he recently called the police and accused his ex-wife and mother of his children Tameka Foster of sneaking onto his property and scratching up his cars.
Law enforcement sources tell us when officers arrived at the scene, Tameka Raymond was nowhere to be found.
Police later interviewed both Tameka and Usher — but determined there was no evidence or witnesses to substantiate Usher’s claim.
But the drama didn’t end there — law enforcement sources tell us Usher called the cops on Tameka a second time several days later, complaining that Tameka again got onto his property and wouldn’t leave. By the time cops arrived, Tameka had already split.
OMG, could it get any worst. Not only are they getting a divorce their petty disagreements are being aired in the public eyes.
Uh hm…TMZ later updated this news with a statement from Foster’s reps, shooting down claims of her involvement in any damages to the vehicle etc.

The wildly popular CW comedy/drama The Game was suddenly canceled and in recent months rumored to be in talks to be picked up by BET. Well we finally have an answer, it is a green light for new episodes starting next year.
