People want to see something thats funny & has a serious side. Something about what really goes on in the black community. And tyler perry movies arent supposed to show progress in the community they are supposed to give people in the community something to laugh at and think about. At that day and time that was what was going in families in neighborhoods across America. I do respect Spike Lee's view and I can actually understand to some degree where he is coming from. But I do believe there is a lot of room for creativity and a large enough audience across the world that could appreciate both Tyler Perry and Spike Lee movies. I remember Good Times.
