Chanel: Born and raised in Atlanta GA, and reside in Stockbridge GA
How would you describe your style and sound?
Chanel: We have a lot of energy; we’re fresh and have so much
confidence. We have a lot of songs about girl power and female
empowerment on the album.
Jazzy: Our sound is international; we touch every race, all genders.
Its universal music, we have different styles, which include pop, rock
and hip-hop. We touch a lot of different subjects also, love,
confidence, partying…
Shan Q: Our sound is relatable, its ghetto pop which means everyone
can relate to it from anywhere around the world. Our style is very
funky and confident. We have a lot of attitude.

Who are some of your idols or other artist that you may look up to?
Chanel: My first and main was Michael Jackson, I looked up to him a
lot and I remember learning his choreography all the time. In my later
years, I learned to like Madonna, Grace Jones, Brittany Spears, those
types of people.
Jazzy: I like a lot of different styles too, Lauren Hill, Living Color
who are this black rock group from the 80’s that my brother introduced
me to.
Chan Q: I’m a big fan of the 90’s so I love Salt & Pepper, TLC and
Jodeci. I’m also a huge fan of Pink, Kelis, Gwen Stefani, No Doubt, I
love versatility.
How did you guys form Krave?
Chan Q: We were friends from High School. We were all three aspiring
artist who met in high school and just decided to come together as a
group and live out our dreams. We were doing showcases and talent
shows, and that’s where we met DeVyne Stephens. He came up to us at a
talent show and was at a talent show and was like “Yo I wanna work
with you guys.”
How did you link up with Akon?
Jazzy: DeVyne brought him in and the second we met him we clicked, he’s
an extremely talented guy and he’s a hard worker, so DeVyne knew
exactly what he was doing when he linked us two artists together, Akon
and DeVyne have both taught us just to work really hard and we do.

As artists, how much creative control do you have over your music?
Chanel: We have a lot of creative input, we did get a chance to write
on this album as well as having other writers come in, but DeVyne is
very open to our ideas and what we think about as far as our music
because it is our project and it is our first project, so of course
that’s very important to us. So we have a pretty big hand in creative
input towards the album and image and everything else that comes with
it.
Anything else you’d like to add?
Jazzy: We have a myspace page that you need to join myspace/
kraveworldwide, you can also check us out on twitter, twitter.com/
krave4us and facebook us, facebook.com/krave. We’ve also got some

there too.
