Michael Vick has signed with Philadelphia Eagles shortly after being released from federal prison after serving 18 of the 23 month sentence for illegal dogfighting ring.
Vick will not be able to play in any games immediately, however he will be allowed to practice with team and participate in all other activities. He will be allowed to participate in the last two preseason games.
A lot of the details of the contract have not been made public but there are rumors that Vick will be expected to make $1.6 million this season and as much as $5.6 million in the option year. This is a far cry from at one time being the highest player in the NFL.
Hopefully this is a step into the right direction and will opportunity for Vick to shine.
