The queen of media, Oprah Winfrey is being sued for $1 trillion by author Damon Lloyd Goffe alleging copyright infringement.
Goffe claims Oprah and her production company Harpo Inc. infringed on his book, A Tome of Poetry in her Internet-published work Pieces of My Soul. The copyright infringement suit was filed in the District of columbia Court on July 31, 2009.
According to National Enquirer, Goffe also claims Oprah admitted she used his original works in 2008.
If you are like me, I wondered how Goffe came up with this absorbent figure, well he estimates Oprah sold 650 million copies of the book online for $20 a pop plus damages equals $1.2 trillion.
Yips! That’s a whole lot of pesos even for Oprah.
