Rapper Drake Returns To The Small Screen
Drake is returning to his roots - he’s landed a role in an upcoming TV series “Us And Them”. This new series is loosely based on real life events, about two best friends, Mazin and Aubrey chasing their dreams in the entertainment industry.
Aubrey Graham aka Drake got his start in the entertainment industry about eight years ago in teen drama television series, “Degrassi: The Next Generation”. In the show, Drake portrayed “Jimmy Brooks” a basketball star who became physically disabled after he was shot by a classmate.
He began rapping in 2006 eventually signing a lucrative deal with Aspire/Young Money/CashMoney Records and distribution will be through Universal. Drake received a $2 million advance and retains the publishing rights to his songs.
“Us and Them” is still in the development stages and there has not been any further details.
