Block Entertainment producers, Lester Purnell aka Flawder Water (pictured above) and Dana Ramey aka Dee Jay Dana filed a joint lawsuit in Fulton County Superior Court in Atlanta, Georgia court, alleging breach of several contracts and a failure to pay royalties.
Both producers claim Block Entertainment breached a contract that promised them rights and royalties from recordings. Also, the label used the contract to enter into an agreement with EMI April Music and transgerred their ownership interest in the recording to EMI.
And yes we have more allegations, Purnell and Ramey claim their signatures were forged on the agreement with EMI, which bound them to EMI for “a period of time” hindering their ability to work as music producers.
Block Entertainment seem to have their hands in everybody pockets.
Just last month, Yung Joc was planning to file a lawsuit against Block Entertainment and Bad Boy Records for contractual discrepancies, including failure to pay royalties and advances for his first two albums and charging “outrageous clearance fees” for collaborations with other artist.
