Jun302009Soulja Boy Gets A TV Show?
So word is Soulja Boy is getting his own tv show. The successful young rapper has no where to go but up right now. He revealed on twitter that he had spoken with his agent and got the news.
“Just got off the phone with my agent…I’m getting my own TV show!”
There were no further details about Soulja Boy’s TV show, however I’ve heard he was also rumored to appear in two movies in with Nick Cannon, that was last year though.
Soulja Boy will probably ace the acting gig too. He sort of reminds me of Will Smith back when Will was in the “Fresh Prince of BelAir”.

Looks like all the rumors about Vibe’s financials were true. It’s official Vibe magazine has folded.
According to Suprememag;
In a memo to the staff announcing the closure, Steve Aaron, CEO of Vibe Media Group, wrote that for months, the company tried in vain to either find new investors or “to restructure the huge debt on our small company.” “The print advertising collapse hit Vibe hard, especially as key ad categories like automotive and fashion, which represented the bulk of our top 10 advertisers, have stopped advertising or gone out of business,” he wrote.
~Supreme Magazine~RUMOR: Word is Spin magazine is feeling the force of the recession too. Apparently they have let go six staff members and maybe more to come.
Vibe magazine was founded by Quincy Jones in 1992 and for a very long time was one of the main sources of information for hip hop news, fashion and culture.

Rozunda “Chilli” Thomas, 38, has grabbed her a spot in reality tv land on VH1. In this show, she will go on a journey in search of a relationship and somewhat of a personal journey.Chilli will be assisted by Brooklyn based relationship expert, Tionna Smalls in her search for Mr. Right.
The Chilli Project (working title) is slated to air in 2010.

A will for Michael Jackson, thought to be drafted in 2002, has finally surfaced. The details of this will is really not shocking at all.
According to the final draft of Michael’s will, he left his estate to his mother Katherine Jackson, his three children – Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11 and Blanket, 7 and one or more charities. Joe Jackson was not mentioned in the will at all.
Also, John Branca, attorney and John McClain, music executive were both appointed to be executors to Michael Jackson’s estate.
Word is Michael Jackson’s estate is estimated minus the $500 million debt to be worth more or less $200 million.
Michael’s attorney John Branca plans to file the will in probate court as early as Thursday.

Last I reported, there were rumors all over the internet that Jay Z blocked Chris Brown from performing at the 2009 BET Awards. Jay Z allegedly threatened to not perform and pull his wifey, Beyonce from the star studded event. Supposedly, BET had confirmed Chris Brown to be one of the performers in the tribute to Michael Jackson and then suddenly dropped him. Just like that!
According to PageSix, Chris Brown rep denies Jay Z having anything do with Chris Brown not performing and claims Brown was never confirmed to perform.
