Trill Entertainment CEO’s, Melvin Vernell Jr., 35 and Marcus Roach, 35 both are charged with one count each of attempted second-degree murder of Bruce “Beelow” Moore, who is a local Baton Rouge rapper. Along with being charged with second degree murder the pair have racked up a serious of other charges including, illegal use of weapons, aggravated battery and armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and three counts of possession of an illegal firearm by a convicted felon.

Vernell Jr. and Roach were granted $350,000 bail yesterday, (May 19) and the judge issued strict orders for both men to remain under house arrest from 7 PM -7 AM. Most importantly out of all the strict orders, they were ordered to stay away from victims, witnesses, family members and anymore who might testify against them.

These strict orders may have been put in place based testimony from a FBI agent Antony Jung during the bond hearing.  “They were absolutely scared for their lives,” Jung testified while being questioned by prosecutor Charles Grey in state District Judge Mike Erwin’s courtroom.



Also Jung testifed that Vernell and Roach paid one witness to the 2005 shooting $5000 - a check that was later returned - and offered witnesses jobs at Trill, while another person who had accused Roach of bootlegging music CDs claimed to have been beaten by Roach.

"They (vernell and Roach) use Threats of violence and potential murder to ruther their business interests, Jung testified when Grey asked how the two men dealt with rival rap artists.

Beelow the victim of  this attempted murder, fortunately survived the gunshot wound he received in the head.

Word is these corporate thugs, allegedly began laundering drug money through Trill Ent.

Trill Entertainment signed artist include Lil Boosie, Webbie and a few others.
