Notorious Weekend
“Notorious” has did better at the box office than I anticipated. In three days, it has raked in $21.5 million and debuted in the top 5. I says a lot. Forgive me for sounding so shocked. Often when they promote these movies, half of time the movie is not all of what it seems and never make an incredible return in the box office.
In other news, four people were stabbed during an after party in NYC for the “Notorious” film. On Saturday a 21 year old stabbed numerous times was critical condition at Brookdale Hospital and the remaining three that were stabbed were in stable condition.
Jan192009Andre 3000′s Clothing Line Barely Surviving The Recession
One half of the duo, Outkast, Andre 3000 launched a clothing line, Benjamin Bixby last year. The line was is high end, so you had to get your paper up to get an outfit. But you might be in luck.
The recession has hit everybody hard, including Andre’s clothing line. Apparently, Andre 3000 is reportedly struggling to sell items from his luxury clothing line during our hard hit economy. The company now said to be facing financial difficulties due to falling sales. According to Wooha.com, the business is supposedly been losing profits dues to a combination of the international economic crisis, the label’s high prices, and soaring production costs.
Word is Benjamin Bixby current collection prices are being slashed and being sold on various online discount luxury sites.
On good note, Andre’s clothing line is not going down in flames, he has been nominated by GQ magazine’s Best New Menswear Designers Award, and has the opportunity to win $50,000 cash prize and a chance to design a collection for jeans manufactuer Levi.
Jan182009Dwayne Wade’s Divorce Just Got Dirty
Miami Heat’s Dwayne Wade and his soon to be ex-wife, Siohvaughn are going through a divorce. And my my, it is turning ugly, and very quickly. Ugh! and ain’t looking for DWade.
Wade’s wife Siohvaughn, now alleges that he had abandon their children, committed adultery and infected her with a sexually transmitted disease. She has requested D Wade to give a full disclosure of all the sexual partners he had during there six marriage. Of he was not happy about that.
A statement was issued by D Wade’s attorney, “These malicious allegations are absolutely false and we look forward to the opportunity to dispute them in court.”
Also, his angry soon to be ex, alleges D Wade “dissipated substantial sums of marital property including…buying his mother a $2 million church; placing substantial sums of money in an account with another woman; providing numerous friends and family members with unfettered access to accounts with hundreds of thousands of dollars of marital funds from which they made substantial withdrawals…”, while he cut her off financially.
In Siohvaughn counter petition, she wants to recover damages from Wade for the STD that she contracted allegedly from him. She alleges she suffered “grievous physical, emotional and mental injury” as of a result of being diagnosed with this STD in 2007. According to sources, the STD in question is not HIV nor is life threatening, but never the less, she wants to be compensated for her suffering.
Siohvaughn is seeking sole custody of their two sons, Ziare, 6 and Zion, 1.
Jan182009Rich Boy Sued For $337,500
Rich Boy is being sued by Chaz Mosley, a tax accountant that was shot by Rich Boy’s brother, Irvin O. Richards Jr., for $337,500 judgment that he failed to pay.
Originally, Mosley won the suit in Mobile, Alabama four months ago, however Rich Boy aka Marece Richards has failed to pay the judgment and now Mosley and his attorneys have filed suit in Fulton County Superior Court in hopes of collecting his judgment. Rich Boy has been know to reside in Atlanta so, apparently that is where Mosley has tracked Rich Boy to.
Chaz Mosley sued Rich Boy and his brother for shooting up his vehicle in July 17, 2005. According to Mosley, he was in his car and Rich Boy’s brother opened fire with an assault rifle from their Cadillac. Ten bullets penetrated Mosley’s car and one of the bullets shattered the headrest which sent fragments into Mosley’s head. It was said the bullets that flew was a result of possible road rage.
Irvin O. Richards Jr., is serving a 10 year prison sentence after pleading guilty to assault and Rich Boy was given probation.
According to Rich Boy’s publicist, Greg Miller, he was not certain if his client had planned to pay this judgment.
Jan182009Kimora Lee Simmons Pregnant/Reality Show Gets Canned
Djimon Hounsou, 44 and Kimora Lee Simmons, 33, are expecting their first child together, according to Eonline.com. What a way to start the new year.
The couple met in February 2007, of course while Kimora Lee Simmons was still going through her divorce from Russell Simmons, which was finalized in 2008. Kimora and Russell do two daughters together, Ming Lee, 8 and Aoki Lee, 6.
And while this is great news to expecting a new edition to Kimora’s family, her Style Network reality show, Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane” was cancelled.
Word is, Kimora was not a pleasant person to work with, the television network exectives reportedly grew frustrated with her. According to various sources, she was described as “bossy, erractic, and bullies underlings”.
So what is the problem?
And I am sure they knew what they were getting into when they gave Kimora a contract. So they need not act so brand new.
Jan182009Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady Feuding..Could this be trouble for the Rockets?
The sports media outlets have been buzzing. Word is Yao and Tracy McGrady are not on speaking terms. To put it simply, rumor has it, Yao is ready for Tracy to be shipped out, this is according to David Aldridge, TNT analyst (nba.com). It is not believed that Yao’s feelings are personal but, he is not supposedly not happy with the situation.
According to NBA.com, "They don't speak," and extremely plugged-in-person tells me. "And Yao wants him out."
Also, Aldridge goes on to state, "It's not personal between Yao and McGrady. They like one another. But Yao's frustration is real. And Yao is not the only person that's grown tired of McGrady's self-diagnosis, his up-to-the-last-minute decisions on whether he'll play or not."

Yung Berg was arrested in South Beach Miami. Truth, not sure how old this footage is, however if I had to guess I would it is well over a year old. It really hilarious.
