Wanda Sykes Reveals “I’m Gay”

Comedian Wanda Sykes reveals she is gay to a crowd during a rally in Las Vegas on Saturday, November 15. Sykes appearance was not planned and her speech came as a surprise to the organizers and crowd.

Would we consider this a shock? Maybe

Anyhow, Sykes shared this information with the crowd due to the passage of a same sex marriage ban in California which has led her to be more outspoken about being gay.

"You know, I don't really talk about my sexual orientation. I didn't feel like I had to. I was just living my life, not necessarily in the closet, but I was living my life."

"Everybody that knows me personally they know I'm gay. But that's the way people should be able to live their lives."

Wanda Sykes also goes on to state, “I’m proud to be a woman. I’m proud to be a black woman, and I’m proud to be gay.”

She was in Las Vegas performing at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
