No Perks For Solange Knowles
Solange Knowles the younger sister of one of the hottest female artists in the game had a hard time catching a break. She had a difficult time getting her songs heard by top music producers, it was not because she lack the talent, it was because she was the sibling of Beyonce Knowles.
According to Starpulse.com, Knowles admits that having a superstar in the family did not help her, it hindered her. She struggled to convince people in the industry that she had talent.
She also stated to Britain’s Hello magazine;
"I can see how people would think that I'm here because of Beyonce. But with this record, that really wasn't in my head. I started this record completely independently - I had no record label, I had no main producer, and everyone turned me down. Probably because of that, like, 'We're not going to reward her because she's Beyonce's sister,' and I understood that."
Come on now, I know it has to be some kind of perks having Beyonce as your sister.

Diddy as usual has done it big. His new mini movie “I Am King” for his new fragrance and doubling as his audition tape for the next James Bond. Diddy as James Bond?
Diddy is convinced that he is the next and first black James Bond. He’s so confident, that he supposedly spent $750,000 on his 007 audition tape. Diddy traveled to the South of France to film the promo near the Casino Royale, where he pulled out all the stops, helicopters, tuxedos and blonde models to act as his Bond girls.
Diddy tells Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper, “This is my audition tape for the next James Bond. There is a black president and it’s time for there to be a black Bond.”
Apparently, Diddy is not the only one who wants to be the first black Bond, his possible competition is Akon and Jamie Foxx.
I wonder if Jamie Foxx or Akon are willing to spend almost a million dollars on an audition tape.

Nov282008“I Am…Sasha Fierce” No. 1 Album/”Loved By Few, Hated By Many”
The No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 this week is Beyonce’s latest album release, I Am…Sasha Fierce.
This Beyonce’s third straight number one debut with Sasha Fierce and it almost went gold in its first week, with 482,000 copies sold. It is safe to say Sasha will go platinum.
Lil Keke’s major record label debut, Loved By Few, Hated By Many has scanned an estimated 5,853 copies. Loved By Few, Hated By Many is No. 119 of the Billboard 200 chart.
In my opinion, I am not sure if the numbers are correct across the country, the first day the Loved By Few, Hated By Many went on sale in the Houston area, it was sold out in lot of the area stores.
Nov282008Bryant Gumbel’s Son Arrested For DUI
Bryant Gumbel’s son, Bradley Gumbel, 29 was arrested for drunk driving as well as operating a vehicle with a suspended registration and license on November 18.
Reportedly, Bradley was spotted approximately at 3 A.M. on Mead Street in Lewisboro when troopers observed him swerving in and out of his lane while driving his 2005 Toyota 4 Runner SUV . The troopers pulled him over, and the troopers approached the truck to only find Bradley asleep and smelled of alcohol. Also the troopers noticed damage to the passage side of the truck and when Bradley was asked about the damage to the SUV, he was unable to explain the damage.
The blood alcohol level of Bradley Gumbel was reported to be .18 percent, which is more than twice the legal limit.
Bradley Gumbel is scheduled to be arraigned in a Lewisboro Town Court on December 1.

Word is Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown have been spotted out together in Atlanta looking super cozy. Various sources imply that Whitney and her old flame, Bobby are trying to rekindle that old thang. Hmmm!
Do we see Whitney and Bobby getting married again on the horizon? Oh Lawd, not again!!!
Update: According to The Associated Press, a rep for Whitney Houston said the rumor about her and Bobby Brown are back together is a “total fabrication”.
On a better note, word is Jill Scott and her fiance, John “Lil John” Roberts are supposedly expecting their first child. According to BlackCelebKids.com, the buzz began after a radio reporter Jawn Murray of the Tom Joyner Morning Show reportedly announced on November 18th that Scott is pregnant. There is no confirmation yet, of the pregnancy.
The lovely couple were engaged in the beginning of the June of this year.

Nov252008Grand Hustle vs. Shawty Lo At The Dirty Awards
The Fourth Annual Dirty Awards that took place in Atlanta last night, November 24 ended on a sour note, when two altercations broke out between members of Grand Hustle and members of Shawty Lo’s entourage.
According to AllHipHop.com, tension had been building in the atmosphere starting with the Shawty Lo performance which included a diss version of Grand Hustle artist Yung LA’s song “Ain’t I”. While Shawty Lo was performing, “Don’t I” an audience member identified by witnesses as Alfamega, a Capital recording artist, threw a chair onto the stage during this performance. Shortly thereafter another unidentified member of the Grand Hustle camp stormed on the stage and the first fight broke out. (Check out the footage, mostly chaos but there is a part where the chair flies onto the stage then the fight breaks out.)
After the first fight T.I., took the stage to accept an award, where he also denounced the violence and negativity and assured the audience and the Dirty Awards that he does not approve of the fighting.
