Jennifer Hudson’s mother, Darnell Donerson, 57 and brother, Jason Hudson, 29 were found dead in Donerson’s home on the Southside of Chicago Friday, October 24.
The suspect, William Balfour was arrested several hours after this deadly shooting, however the whereabouts of Jennifer’s 7 year old nephew, Julian King are still unknown.
As details of this tragedy slowly unfold, so far what we know are, the bodies were found at about 3 p.m. in the 7000 block of South Yale according to authorities. Reportedly, gunshots were heard between 8 am and 9 am Friday morning, subsequently, a family member entered the home and made the horrible discovery. The mother was found on the floor in the living room with a gunshot wound to the head and the brother was found in a back bedroom with a gunshot wound to the chest. The police did note that one of the victims had defense wounds, which led them to conclude this was possibly a domestic related crime.
The suspect, William Balfour, 26 is no stranger to the family, he is the husband of Jennifer’s sister, Julia King and step-father to Julian King. Balfour is an ex-convict who served some time in jail and was paroled in 2006 after convictions for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and receiving stolen property.
Since being in custody, William Balfour refuses to cooperate with the police and refuses to reveal any information. As to Julian King, he is still missing.
