Lifetime Achievements, Kennedy Center Honorees and Honorary Patron Awards Goes To…..

Timberland will be inducted in October 2008 into the Trinity College Dublin’s Philosophical Society as an Honorary Patron.

Previous recipients of this Honorary Patronage Award include Bono, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, authors Salman Rushdie, Bram Stroker, Oscar Wild and Samuel Becket.

This society must have really wanted Timberland into this group because normally the receipients of this prestigous award are politicians and scholars. Go figure!


Chaka Khan was awarded a lifetime achievement award in recognition of her 35 year career in music by the Rhythm and Blues Foundation yesterday, September 9.

Others that were honored with this award was Bill Withers, Kool & the Gang, and Teena Marie.

And Morgan Freeman is among six entertainers who will receive Kennedy Center Honors in Washington this December. President George W. Bush will give the honorees their medals the day of the event.
