$1 Million Judgment Catches Up with Too Short
Too Short is in deep ish. A $1 million judgment against Too Short which stemmed from a 1991 deadly car accident, may lead tot he closing his recording studio in Oakland, California.
According to the Oakland Tribune, Short owes over $700,000 to a family, after his GMC truck was involved in a 1991 head on collision with a Mercury Cougar who crossed over the center divider. It was proven that the accident was not Short’s fault, but he was legally drunk and fleeing the scene of another accident in which he clipped a parked car.
The families sued Too Short for $17 million but settled out of court for $1 million dollars.
Reportedly, Too Short has paid over $282,000 over the last ten years, but has yet to pay the balance on the judgment.
If Short fails to pay the balance, The Alameda County Sheriff’s office will seize the equipment.
According to AllHipHop.com Too Short has already moved the equipment out of the studio and to an undisclosed location in case the facility is raided.
Too Short will appear in Oakland Superior Court on August 13.
